Hurricanes Fall to Buckeyes, 6-3
|
A nice crowd turned out to see the Ohio State Buckeyes and Miami Hurricanes clash at Gremlins Ballpark.
Starting pitcher Mike Lyon pitched well enough to help the Ohio State Buckeyes beat the Miami Hurricanes by the score of 6-3. The save was credited to Daniel Woodard, his 4th.
Ohio State used a timely hit from Jonathan Stultz to get the win. The shortstop delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the seventh inning to put the Buckeyes on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Stultz told the Ohio State Gazette.
Ohio State, at 19-21, sits in 16th place in the Ron Fraser Division.
