Jeff Reynolds, who is tied for 10th in the RDL in innings pitched with 37.0, pitched well, but the TCU Horned Frogs still fell short, losing, 3-1, to the Louisiana-Layfayette Ragin Cajuns at Field of the Dukes. Louisiana-Layfayette raised its record to 28-12 with the win.
Dave Carr had a big 2-run home run for the Ragin Cajuns in the bottom of the third inning. With Louisiana-Layfayette leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Jeff Reynolds and punished it. The result was his 13th home run of the season, which put the Ragin Cajuns on top, 3-0.
"You come to the ballpark to do your job and that's what I did today," Carr told the Louisiana-Layfayette Daily.
