The USC Trojans had no problem beating the Oregon State Beavers, 14-3, at Nesquehoning College Fields. Jeremy Leffew led the way. He went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for USC. At 21-19, the Trojans are currently 8th in the Cliff Gustafson.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the fourth, with the game tied, Wes Buchalter was at the plate when USC scored 2 on an error. The miscue enabled the Trojans to go in front, 5-3.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said USC manager Brian McCauley.
