Rebels Solve Horned Frogs, 5-2
|
The TCU Horned Frogs got a superb performance from pitcher Oscar Gutierrez, but the Ole Miss Rebels still won the game, 5-2. Gutierrez was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 5 innings of shutout ball. Ole Miss reliever Travis Clowser picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Manny Rascon was saddled with the loss. The losing streak for TCU has now reached 4 games.
Ole Miss took a 3-0 lead on David Little's 45th hit of the season. The 2-run single, which Little hit in the bottom of the seventh, left TCU pitcher Manny Rascon shaking his head.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Little.
