Crawfish Lose Again, 5-0, to Maulers
|
Another game, another loss for the struggling Victory Lakes Crawfish.
Matthew Witt pitched a gem to lead Martinsburg to victory over the Victory Lakes Crawfish, 5-0. Todd Joseph, credited with the save, is now 1 for 1 in save opportunities.
The Maulers got a big at-bat from second baseman Dave Suelter. For the game, Suelter was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. In the top of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Martinsburg a 2-0 lead.
"No one likes losing," said Victory Lakes manager Sam Reynolds. "We've hit a tough patch, but we're going to get through it."
The losses continue to add up for Victory Lakes, having now dropped 9 straight.
