Sooners Pin 5-3 Loss on Gamecocks
|
Biglerville College Fields was the site of a competitive game between the South Carolina Gamecocks and Oklahoma Sooners.
With third baseman Jason Lane leading the charge, the Oklahoma Sooners defeated the South Carolina Gamecocks, 5-3, at Biglerville College Fields. Lane was 1-2 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Zach Sutton closed the door for Oklahoma, picking up his 11th save of the year.
Tim Jackson hit a 2-run triple off Bobby Hughes in the bottom of the second, which put the Sooners in front, 2-0. Jackson had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.
Jackson called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
Oklahoma is now 17-22, while South Carolina is 21-18.
