The Alabama Crimson Tide overcame a good performance by Oklahoma State center fielder Mark Simmons to knock off Oklahoma State, 10-6, at Titans Ballpark. Simmons went 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The win was credited to Guy Ford in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Kamal Rogers took the loss. The 17th-place Cowboys dropped to 15-24.

Alabama designated hitter Matt Mott contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 33rd hit of the season and put the Crimson Tide ahead, 2-1.

"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Mott.
