Victory Pushes Yellow Jackets Record to 21-17
|
The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets downed the Michigan Wolverines, 7-4, at Siege Ballpark. The Yellow Jackets were led by Al Harmon, who captured player of the game honors. He was 1-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Georgia Tech reliever Aaron Butler picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-2. Dan Gubser was collared with the loss. Casey Page, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 9th save.
Harmon had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 2-1 cutter from Tom Lazenby, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Yellow Jackets a 7-3 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Harmon.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Harmon said after the game.
Michigan has now lost 4 consecutive games.
