The Santa Clara Vampyres had no problem beating the Cuautitlan Izcalli Atlantics, 12-1, at Santa Clara Stadium. Jesus Cruz, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2064 draft, led the onslaught. He was 2-2 with a home run, a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for Santa Clara. Rodolfo Loa, the winning pitcher, is now 8-4. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 7 hits, while fanning 5 and walking 2. Carlos Ponce was called on to finish, recording his 2nd save.

Javier Sanabria had a big grand slam home run for the Vampyres in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Santa Clara leading 4-1 and the bases loaded, he got a splitter from Masanao Nakashima and swatted a home run to left. It was his 10th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Vampyres ahead, 8-1.
