7-4 Triumph Runs Beats Streak to 7 Games
|
Cory Hoy was a major factor in the 7-4 Kingston win over Toronto. The Beats left fielder was 3 for 4 with a triple, 2 doubles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Diego Alanis earned the save, his 20th, for the Beats. The 4th-place Beats have won 7 in a row.
Kingston used a clutch at-bat from Rafael Chavez to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Beats ahead, 5-4. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
Hoy told a Kingston Today reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
