Hamilton Batters Wake Forest for 5 Hits
Ben Hamilton exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Gremlins Ballpark.

The Miami third baseman had a field day in the 15-7 triumph over the Wake Forest Demon Deacans, finishing 5-for-5.

"My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch."

Hamilton must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Ben Hamilton singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, doubled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Christian Spaulding in the 8th.

Looking at his season stats, Hamilton has compiled a .263 batting average and a .368 on-base percentage, while hitting 6 home runs and driving in 16 runs.
