Cavaliers Lose, 4-3, in 12
Despite the exploits of left fielder Kyle Wendt, the Virginia Cavaliers were beaten by the Arkansas Razorbacks, 4-3, in 12 innings. Wendt went 2 for 5 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 2. The win was credited to Bryan Brawner in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Doug Decker took the loss. Arkansas is now 21-16, while Virginia is 16-21.

Arkansas needed the clutch hitting of Matt Crawford to seal the deal. The designated hitter swatted a solo home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the Razorbacks on top, 4-3. For the game, Crawford had 1 home run and 1 single in 6 at-bats.

"This game tested our mettle," said Crawford.
