The Miami Hurricanes got a sterling performance from pitcher Josh Raiola, but the Indiana State Sycamores still prevailed, 6-2. Raiola threw 5.1 innings of 2-hit ball. The winner was Chris Duder in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Josh Raiola took the loss. Nate Schiavone was called on to finish, recording his 3rd save.
Indiana State took the lead, 5-0, on Jim Myerson's 4th home run of the season. The grand slam home run came off Miami pitcher Mike Hickman in the bottom of the seventh.
"Everything seems to be clicking right now for us, top to bottom," said Indiana State manager Luppe Missel.
The 10th-place Sycamores lifted their record to 21-16.
