The Clemson Tigers overcame a pretty good performance by Wake Forest designated hitter Roy Rudolph, beating the Demon Deacans, 10-9, at Magistrates Ballpark. Rudolph was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Eric Cloud was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Scott Hottinger. Clemson bumps their record to 12-24 with the win.
Travis Stiff drew 1 walk against the Demon Deacans. With the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run that put Clemson in front, 8-7.
