No Mercy for Bulldogs in 15-2 Pounding
The Iowa State Cyclones pounded the Georgia Bulldogs, 15-2, at Field of the Plunder. Iowa State right fielder Mike Clark had a game-changing performance. He went 4-5 with 2 home runs, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 5. The win gives Iowa State a season record of 22-14.

Iowa State used a clutch at-bat from Wade Whitehead to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Cyclones ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Georgia manager Nate Roe. "We got flat-out beat."
