Horned Frogs Pick Up 3-2 Win Against Texas A&M
|
The TCU Horned Frogs and Texas A&M Aggies played an entertaining game for Dingoes Ballpark patrons.
TCU pitcher Jonathan McMenamin did his part in helping his team beat the Texas A&M Aggies, 3-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. McMenamin yielded 1 run over 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 3-1. Picking up the save was Ryan Carpenter, his 11th.
Kyle Brye contributed to the TCU win with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"Jonathan kind of went out and dug down and got some outs when he needed to," said TCU manager Masato Takagi.
The loss makes Texas A&M 19-16.
