Tigers Rough Up Razorbacks, Take 16-2 Win
The Auburn Tigers thumped the Arkansas Razorbacks, 16-2, at Ramparts Ballpark. Kevin Steelman was a big reason his team got the win. Steelman went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 4 times and drove in 3. Keith Schroth, the winner, improved to 4-2. He held the Razorbacks to 1 earned run on 6 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 2. The save went to Ben Sweeney, his 1st this season.

Auburn needed the clutch hitting of Tom Wilmore to notch the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Tigers on top, 3-0. For the game, Wilmore had 1 home run and 3 singles in 5 at-bats.

"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Arkansas manager Jim Unknown. "We got the snot knocked out of us."

Auburn is now riding a 3-game win streak.
