Cuautitlan Izcalli pitcher Gustavo Serna did his part in helping his team defeat the Victoria Cougars, 5-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. With the win, the Atlantics improved to 26-36.
Cuautitlan Izcalli won the game in part because of John Straut. The third baseman ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Atlantics ahead, 2-0. For the game, Straut had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
