Josh Messenger was outstanding against Arkansas. The right-hander had a sinker that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Sooners 6-3 win. The Sooners improved to a lofty 26-7.

George Deisinger, who is tied for 5th in the SBL in home runs with 17, aided the Oklahoma cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the first baseman drew 1 walk.

"Josh was filthy tonight," said Oklahoma manager Lewis Cannon.
