Texas starter Dante White had a strong outing against the Washington State Cougars at Ballpark of Celebration College. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 11-5 win. Texas is in 18th place in the Cliff Gustafson with a record of 15-18.

Gary Ervin had a big bases-clearing triple for the Longhorns in the bottom of the second inning. With Texas leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a curveball from Mike Davidson and stroked the triple to left-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Longhorns ahead, 4-0.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Ervin told the Texas Citizen.
