The Rice Owls picked up a win at Toughkenamon College Fields, knocking off the LSU Tigers, 14-0. Starting pitcher Frank Peterson played a key role in the triumph. The Owls now have a record of 12-21 with the win over LSU.

Mike Moody put Rice in front, 5-0, when he took Brandon Owen downtown. His 3-run home run came with two out in the bottom of the first. It was his 5th home run of the season.

"I had everything working," said Peterson.
