Florida Loses, 4-2, to Oklahoma State in 13
|
No one was more impactful than Jim Woodworth in an extra-inning, 4-2 Oklahoma State win over Florida. Woodworth was 1-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Oklahoma State reliever Kris Thomas got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Chuck Green was tagged with the loss. Oklahoma State, at 13-20, holds down 18th place in the Ron Fraser Division.
Oklahoma State got a knockout punch from Bill Jackson. The third baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 13th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"That game was intense," Jackson said.
