The Brighton Steelhounds had no problem beating the Mojave Rattlers, 11-1, at Rattlers Field. Ricky Contreras, who is tied for 5th in the RLA with a .412 batting average, led the onslaught. He went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and 3 walks, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for Brighton. The winner was Walt Malone, who threw 115 pitches over 7 innings. The right-hander was charged with 1 run on 8 hits. The Steelhounds bumped their record to 34-23 with this latest triumph.

Izzy Rodriguez, who is tied for 10th in the RLA in doubles with 13, helped out the Brighton cause in the top of the fourth inning with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. For the game, the left fielder drove in one run. He scored 2 runs.
