Fontan Tosses 9-0 Shutout Against Mojave
|
Bobby Fontan kept the Mojave Rattlers hitters from doing much damage at Red Wings Grove.
Mojave could only muster 3 hits and draw 3 walks against the left-handed Fontan, who controlled them throughout the game. Estación Juanita won the contest, 9-0. Fontan added 11 strikeouts in his complete-game effort.
"I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Fontan told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time."
