Long Beach State and Ole Miss duked it out at Ballpark of Macclenny College and the 49'ers came out victorious.

Long Beach State 49'ers starter Brian Ricci pitched a strong game against the Ole Miss Rebels at Ballpark of Macclenny College, leading the 49'ers to a 3-0 win. Cody Rising got credit for the save for Long Beach State. It was his 6th of the year.

Joel D'Ascenzo contributed an important at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a run-scoring single. It was one at-bat that helped send Long Beach State to the win.

D'Ascenzo told the Long Beach State Chronicle: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."

This win makes it 7 in a row for Long Beach State.
