The Texas A&M Aggies and Long Beach State 49'ers provided some drama at Sooners Ballpark.

The Texas A&M Aggies got a superb performance from first baseman David McDowell, but the Long Beach State 49'ers still won the game, 6-5. McDowell was named the player of the game despite the loss. He was 3 for 4 with 3 doubles and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Long Beach State has a 6-game win streak, while Texas A&M has lost 5 in a row.

One of the stars of the game was Long Beach State first baseman John Kersey. In the top of the tenth with two out, he got a fastball from Oscar Ruiz and hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5 in favor of the 49'ers.

"This was one of those 'not to be denied' games," said Long Beach State field general David Batista.
