Werewolves Get Past Aiken for 7-6 Win
Though he had a stellar game, Amir Morgan could not prevent his team, the Aiken Thoroughbreds, from losing, 7-6, to the Ft. Worth Werewolves. Morgan was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The Werewolves, now 21-29, know that wins in June count the same as wins in September.

Ft. Worth needed the clutch hitting of Ruben Rivera to seal the deal. The center fielder swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Werewolves on top, 7-5. For the game, Rivera had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Rivera said.
