Arizona laid the wood on Baylor at Red Wings Ballpark.

A 7-RBI performance from Brendan Allen, who is tied for 8th in the RDL in bases on balls with 21, helped the Arizona Wildcats beat the Baylor Bears, 23-2. Bryan Shertzer picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-2. Mat Deacon was tagged with the loss.

Allen's key contribution came in the bottom of the first when he sent a first pitch cutter into center for a 2-run single. It put the Wildcats ahead, 3-0.

"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Allen told the Arizona Today. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."

Arizona currently is in 9th place in the Cliff Gustafson at 16-13.
