Clemson Falters Again, Loses, 3-2, to Georgia Tech
|
Both offenses were relatively subdued at Magistrates Ballpark. Fortunately for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, though, Herb Harrison was able to deliver in the clutch. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, to lead his team past the Clemson Tigers, 3-2. Georgia Tech reliever John Dodgson picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Pat Alexander was saddled with the loss. Jose Pacheco recorded his 6th save for Georgia Tech.
Harrison had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 0-1 cutter from Pat Alexander, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Yellow Jackets a 3-2 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Harrison.
"We did enough to win," said Harrison.
This loss makes it 7 in a row for Clemson.
