Steelhounds Suffer 15-5 Setback
The Saint John Alpines defeated the Brighton Steelhounds, 15-5. Center Fielder Luis Camacho deserved a large share of the credit. Camacho was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs for the Alpines. Saint John is now 41-8.

Saint John shortstop Jose Cerda contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a changeup to left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 27th hit of the season and put the Alpines ahead, 5-4.

"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Saint John manager Clarence Byrd.
