Parry Delivers Walk-Off Win for Bruins
|
The UCLA Bruins and USC Trojans put on a pitchers' duel at Ballpark of Shiprock College.
UCLA Bruins starter Jason Phelps turned in a sterling performance against the USC Trojans, leading his team to a slim 1-0 win. The 12th-place Trojans have lost 8 straight games.
Robby Parry went 1-4 for UCLA. With no one out and the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, Parry had a clutch at-bat. Facing USC hurler Justin Derby, he hit a walk-off run-scoring single to give the Bruins a 1-0 lead.
"We need to keep playing good baseball," Parry told the UCLA Today.
