Leprechauns Take Tight Tilt, 28-26
The umbrellas came out during the Royal Oak-Martinsburg contest at Royal Oak Field.

Behind the bravura of shortstop Stanley Wilks, the Royal Oak Leprechauns topped the Martinsburg Maulers by the score of 28-26. Wilks went 5 for 7 with a home run and 3 doubles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 6 for the Leprechauns. Royal Oak reliever Willie Aguilar was the winner. His record is now 3-3. The losing pitcher was Ivan Valdes.

The decisive blow was delivered by Eduardo Paulino in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run home run off 20-year old right-handed pitcher Ivan Valdes to win the game for Royal Oak. The home crowd went nuts.

"That was a good game -- all the way through," said Paulino.

The Leprechauns now have a record of 19-28 with the win over Martinsburg.
