The exploits of designated hitter Tim Bratcher helped the Tennessee Volunteers defeat the Florida Gators, 6-2. Bratcher was 2-2 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. Tennessee reliever Jason Woolverton picked up the win, bumping his record to 3-0. Ken Holland was collared with the loss. With the win, Tennessee goes to 10-17, while the Gators fall to 15-12.

"I thought we played a nice game," Bratcher told the Tennessee Bulletin. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
