Seminoles Walk Off with Win
|
The Florida State Seminoles finished things off in style today at Ballpark of Riverdale College.
The Seminoles grabbed a win, 4-3, at Ballpark of Riverdale College, overcoming a fine effort from Indiana State pitcher Tyler Williams. Williams went 5 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Indiana State has now lost 4 in a row.
Florida State pinch hitter Mitch Blankenship had a key at-bat for the Seminoles in the bottom of the ninth inning. Facing right-hander Wade DesMarais, Blankenship reached on an error by the center fielder, driving in 2 runs. It put Florida State in front, 4-3. For the day, Blankenship did the little things right to help the team.
"This place went bonkers at the end," Blankenship said.
