Enthusiastic fans came out to support the home team at Forney College Grounds.

Despite a fine performance by designated hitter David Wirth, the Auburn Tigers lost to the Iowa State Cyclones, 9-5. Wirth went 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. With the win, the Cyclones have a record of 16-10.

Iowa State took the lead, 4-2, on Eric Landes's 1st double of the season. The 2-run double, which Landes hit in the bottom of the seventh, made Auburn pitcher Brian Kahley wince.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Landes.
