The Oak Park Architects and Arlington Stars provided some drama for the home crowd.
Arlington beat Oak Park at Stars Field, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to second baseman Juan Ledezma. He went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Jose Melgar recorded the save for Arlington, his 2nd of the season.
Ledezma had a timely hit for Arlington in the bottom of the seventh. With Arlington trailing 3-2, he turned a 1-2 sinker into a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season, making it 4-3, Arlington.
Said Arlington manager Sergio Castaneda: "At the end of the day, these guys have to perform between the lines, and I think they did."
Oak Park has now lost 4 in a row.
