Wolverines Use Late Rally to Win 4th Straight
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Michigan Wolverines and Iowa State Cyclones.

Michigan Wolverines starter Rusty Whiddon pitched effectively against the Iowa State Cyclones at Siege Ballpark. The right-hander spearheaded his team's 6-4 win. Isaiah Scott recorded his 4th save for Michigan.

Had Adam Pieters not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Pieters hit a 2-run single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Wolverines.

"Rusty was hitting his spots and everything had life," said Michigan manager Shane Saucier.

The win elevated the Wolverines to 17-8.
