Walnut Creek Win Evens Series at 3
The Walnut Creek Warriors and the Montreal Mounties will take the ABL Championship to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the Warriors beat the Mounties, 5-3, at Mount Royal Grounds to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Walnut Creek right-hander Matt White had a big role in the win. He threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball.

Walnut Creek used a timely hit from Luis Farinas to get the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Warriors ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

Walnut Creek manager Miguel de la Rosa commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Mount Royal Grounds in Montreal.
