Morgan Leads Thoroughbreds to Win
Getting offensive support from Amir Morgan, the Aiken Thoroughbreds topped the Bloomington Hoosiers, 13-12. Morgan was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 4 for the Thoroughbreds. The win went to Tony de la Torre in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Carlos Munoz took the loss. The losses continue to add up for Bloomington, having now dropped 8 straight.

Aiken needed the clutch hitting of Roberto Acosta to seal the deal. The right fielder swatted a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Thoroughbreds on top, 13-11. For the game, Acosta had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"It was a good night for them and a bad night for us," said Bloomington manager Matthew Buchanan.
