Malm Helps Fresno State Cruise to 10-3 Win
|
The Fresno State Bulldogs beat the USC Trojans, 10-3, at Nesquehoning College Fields. The Bulldogs got a fine performance from first baseman Cory Malm, who captured player of the game honors. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Kevon Gory, credited with the win, is now 4-1. He allowed 3 runs on 9 hits in 5 innings. The save was credited to Brett Pardon, his 1st.
The Bulldogs got an important contribution from right fielder Raul Hundley, who in the top of the first punched a first pitch slider into left for a 3-run home run. It was his 11th home run of the season and put the Bulldogs ahead, 3-0.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Hundley said.
Fresno State has 6 straight wins, USC 3 straight losses.
