Big Day for Coronel as Stars Down Beats, 7-2

Enthusiastic fans came out to support the home team at Stars Field.
The Arlington Stars licked the Kingston Beats, 7-2. Jorge Coronel deserved a big chunk of the credit. The first baseman went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the Stars. Arlington pitcher Kenji Sakai got the win. He's now 3-4. Rashad Gardner was tagged with the loss.
Coronel had a key at-bat for Arlington in the bottom of the second. With the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run double. It was his 2nd double of the season and gave Arlington an early 2-0 lead.
"We played hard and won," said Coronel. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
Yes, it was a win for Arlington; but their 8-33 mark is nothing to crow about.
