Royal Oak got a terrific game from designated hitter Fei-hsien Tong. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Victoria, 10-7. Tong went 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The save was credited to Joe Pierce, his 11th. The setback makes Royal Oak 15-22.

Juan Gallegos delivered a big hit for Victoria. The left fielder drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Cougars ahead, 9-7. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.

"What's not to like about a win?" said Gallegos.
