The Eureka Hornets got a great start from 38-year-old right-hander Cesar Romo, as Eureka won the contest, 5-3, at The Nest. Romo threw 6.0 innings allowing 3 runs in the win, which knotted the best-of-7 series at 2-2.

An inflection point occurred with two out in the bottom of the eighth. That's when Hornets right fielder Josh Sweet hit a fastball from Jim LeMay for a 2-run single. Just like that, Eureka was up, 4-3.

"Cesar was throwing free and easy," said Eureka manager Juan Montés.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Nest in Eureka.
