Morgan Helps Thoroughbreds Beat Rattlers, 7-2
|
Amir Morgan helped his team muscle past the Mojave Rattlers, 7-2. In the game, the Aiken catcher was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. The Thoroughbreds now have a mark of 32-6.
Aiken used a clutch at-bat from Jose Solis to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Thoroughbreds ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Morgan told the Aiken Today.
