Ragin Cajuns Fall to .500 After Loss to Bears
|
The Baylor Bears topped the Louisiana-Layfayette Ragin Cajuns, 5-1, in Rod Dedeaux League action at Field of the Dukes. The player of the game was Baylor pitcher Mat Deacon. Baylor is now 8-12, while Louisiana-Layfayette is 10-10.
Oliver Cohen drew 1 walk in 4 plate appearances for Baylor. The 19-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the top of the seventh. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off Phil Stewart. It was his 2nd walk of the season.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Baylor manager Micheal Wade.
