Almost There: Hawaii On Cusp of R1 Triumph After 7-3 Win
The Hawaii Honu moved to within one game of the Divisional Series, downing the visiting Pennsylvania Butterflies at Aloha Stadium by a score of 7-3. Honu designated hitter Carlos Nieto did some major damage. He was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The win gives the Honu a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 Wild Card Round.

Nieto had an important at-bat with runners on 1st and 3rd in the bottom of the seventh, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Honu went on to win.

"We have been clicking right from the start of this series, so our mission statement at the moment is just don't tinker with anything," Hawaii manager Naoki Okada told reporters.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Wednesday, October 10th , 2063.
