The 2064 season is going from bad to worse for Kingston.

The Saint John Alpines defeated the Kingston Beats, 8-2, at Alpines Field. Saint John second baseman Jose Cerda had a superb performance. He was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Saint John reliever Jose Delgado got the win, raising his record to 4-0. Javier Gallego was tagged with the loss.

Early in the game, Cerda had a 3-run home run for Saint John. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Alpines on top, 4-1.

"Same old, same old, unfortunately," said losing manager David Duarte.

The first-place Alpines have a record of 29-7.
