Michigan right-hander Brian Nichols pitched his team to a shutout win, 3-0, over the Arkansas Razorbacks. Brandon Smith locked down his 5th save. Michigan, at 8-9, occupies 13th place in the Ron Fraser Division.

The Wolverines took the lead in the top of the seventh. With no one out, David Zborowski hit a solo home run off Arkansas pitcher Jake Browning, putting Michigan in front, 2-0. For the game, Zborowski went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk.
