Rattlers Suffer One-Run Loss at Media Luna
|
In a close game at LoanDepot Park, the Media Luna Marlins edged the Mojave Rattlers, 5-4. Media Luna center fielder Salvador Tobon stood apart with his performance. He was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. Omar Ruelas was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Mike Vega. With this game in the books, Media Luna is 17-18, Mojave 16-17.
The Marlins got a big at-bat from left fielder Rafael Leon. For the game, Leon went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Media Luna a 4-3 lead.
"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Leon.
