Starting pitcher Fidel de Arcos had a solid game. He was a big reason the Ft. Worth Werewolves throttled the San Carlos Pipers, 10-2. Ft. Worth, with the win, sits at 10-23.

Edgar Valenzuela had a big 2-run double for the Werewolves in the top of the second inning. With Ft. Worth leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Jesus Galvan and swatted a double to left. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Werewolves ahead, 3-0.

"We'll need a much better effort, the next time out," said losing manager Chris Santacroce.
