A 4-RBI performance from Zach Banyas helped the LSU Tigers beat the California Golden Bears, 6-3. LSU reliever Adam Miller was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Jason Franklin took the loss. Nate Heide finished to wrap up his 6th save.

Banyas had a critical at-bat in the top of the ninth for LSU, coming through with a grand slam home run to put LSU in front, 6-3.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Banyas. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."

The 19th-place Tigers improved to 7-10.
