Ison Excels, But Sooners Win
The Oklahoma Sooners weathered an outstanding game by South Illinois designated hitter Tim Ison to topple the Salukis, 15-7. Ison went 4 for 5 with 2 home runs, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The win belonged to Phil Swanson in relief. His record improves to 1-0.
